Job Description:
Sales Tax Specialist handles the day-to-day transaction entry
and analysis of sales tax, oversees the sales tax filing process
and reconciles tax liabilities.
Position will also assist with miscellaneous accounting tasks
including but not limited to: bank statement reconciliations, month
end processes, AP/AR.
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the
following:· Manage sales tax preparation including reconciliation
of liabilities and review and audit for accuracy. Responsible for
filing and paying state and local jurisdictions.· Bank statements
reconciliations· Preparation of month-end schedules. Preparation
and posting of GL/CM entries· Assist with AP/AR· Must be
detail-oriented and have ability to notice discrepancies and post
information accurately. Requires excellent time management and
organizational skills with the ability to establish priorities and
quickly change priorities as needed, ability to cope with tight
deadlines and work independently and proceed with objectives with
little or no supervision.
