Company DescriptionASC operates four mountain resorts (Aspen, Aspen Highlands, Snowmass and Buttermilk) with summer and winter experiences; the Five Star, Five Diamond Little Nell Hotel in Aspen; the contemporary Limelight Hotels in Aspen, Snowmass and Ketchum; world-class events including the World Cup series and X Games; and a multi-store retail portfolio.Job DescriptionThe Director of Data Engineering and CRM will oversee implementation and day-to-day application support for a new Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, a new central customer database, and an enterprise analytics/reporting platform. This is a hands-on position that requires building a team, deploying new capabilities, and leading business team change management. The CRM and Analytics function will support three business units: Ski, Hotel, and ASPENX. The budgeted salary midpoint for this position is $144,318. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience, all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus. Please note: This position is remote in the state of Colorado only.Essential Job FunctionsBuild, lead, and mentor a team that develops and deploys a centralized customer database, enterprise CRM, and enterprise analytics platform. Act as a leader between Business Partners and IT by planning, conducting, and directing implementations and ongoing support of the CRM, customer database, and enterprise analytics platforms. Promote company engagement and adaption of the CRM system and enterprise analytics through relationship building and change management best practices. Oversee the technical integration ecosystem across CRM, customer database, and enterprise analytics. Lead teams to generate a vision, establish direction and motivate members, create an atmosphere of trust, leverage diverse views, coach staff, and encourage improvement and innovation. Hire your team, formulate and implement development, maintenance, and support processes. Analyze and promote solution alternatives that best solve existing business problems. Strong ability to plan work across teams, manage timelines, and processes to achieve continual success. Work with business partners to establish a Business Intelligence and data analysis capability. Hire and motivate a team of employees, contractors, and vendors. Facilitate the creation of a Data Governance structure that spans across business units. Create, socialize, and maintain multi-year roadmaps as needed to evolve the ecosystem. QualificationsDegree in Information Technology, computer science, business, or related field required. 5+ years as a director in information technology, managing a team, and overseeing enterprise applications 5+ years leading, deploying, integrating and maintaining an enterprise CRM system 5+ years in data technologies, specifically Azure 5+ years building and maintaining a business intelligence ecosystem 5+ years of experience leading a high-performance data engineering team. Specific functional expertise requirements includes: Salesforce CRM (Sales and Service Cloud), MS Azure data environments, and PowerBI. Experience working with matrixed teams and vendor partners. Experience working in the leisure, travel, tourism, ski resort, or hospitality industries - preferred. Additional InformationSupervision Given and Received Supervision given: This position oversees a team of project managers, data engineers, and analysts. Supervision received: Works under general supervision of the Chief Information Officer. Receives continuing or individual assignments according to supervisor's directions and may perform routine tasks. Expectations of the quality, quantity and deadlines are clearly set. Instructions, advice and assistance available as needed. Work is reviewed on demand or during scheduled check-ins. Work Environment and Physical Demands Ability to stand, type and sit at desk/computer for most of the work shift executing repetitive movements. No adverse or hazardous conditions. Not required, but preferred to be able to occasionally lift, push or pull 25 lbs. individually or with assistance.
