The Director of Housekeeping plan, organize, develop, and direct
the Housekeeping Department. They set high quality standards of
cleanliness, guest service, and efficiency.
This role typically pays around $68k midpoint. Actual pay will be
dependent on budget and experience. All our salaried roles are
eligible for bonus.
Essential Job Functions
--- Help train, hire, and manager Room Attendants, Housepeople, and
Housekeeping Supervisors, and the Housekeeping Manager.
--- Set and maintain schedules for general cleaning program
--- Maintain adequate labor levels to ensure an efficient
--- Ensure accuracy of employee payroll
--- Ensure timely completion of inventories and maintain adequate
levels of linen, cleaning products, and guest supplies.
--- Supervise administration of Lost and Found program
--- Supervise the administration and inspection of the employee
uniform program Recommend replacement items and changes as
--- Inspect rooms and public areas for overall cleanliness
--- Supervise the laundry operation to maximize productivity,
maintain quality standards, and keep within prescribed costs.
--- Implement OSHA training on all safety hazards
--- Make recommendations for operating budgets
--- Perform other duties as assigned
--- High School Diploma or equivalent required
--- College degree preferred
--- 4 years of management experience preferred
--- 7 years of housekeeping or cleaning experience preferred
--- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish preferred
Supervision given and received
Given: Exercises direct supervision over housekeeping staff.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, frequent and
detailed review of work, training, planning, assigning, and
directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining
employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Received: Works under minimal supervision of Regional General
Manager. Receives guidance in terms of broad goals and overall
objectives and is responsible for establishing the methods to

Ability to reach, crouch, kneel, stand, walk or be on your feet for
extended periods of time. Regularly work in wet, hot and humid
conditions for extended periods of time and may be required to walk
on slippery and uneven surfaces. Must be able to frequently lift,
push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance
