Job Description:
Overview:NaphCare is hiring Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and
Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) to join our team of medical
professionals in Grand Junction, Colorado where we manage all
aspects of healthcare for the individuals who are currently
incarcerated in the Mesa County Jail. Pay rates range from
$27.00-$28.50 per hour plus $6.00 shift differential for night
shifts. Pay rates range per hour based on employment status, site
needs, licensure, and experience.As a Correctional Nurse, you will
work alongside correctional officers and other medical
professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence.
Working within a controlled environment, where security is top
priority and the days are never dull, you will have various duties
to keep you engaged including performing physical assessments,
administering medications, managing chronic illnesses, and
responding to emergencies. This is a unique position where you can
make a difference to this diverse population of patients with

*Responsibilities:As an LPN or LVN, you will play a critical role
in our continued mission to provide quality healthcare that
protects the rights, dignity, and health of our unique patient
population. Duties and responsibilities may include and not be
limited to:Performing patient assessments, interviewing patients
about current health problems, medication historyTaking vital signs
including blood pressure, temperature, and weightProviding wound
care, including cleaning and bandaging injured areasAdministering
medication, including injections of medications and monitoring
reaction to medsMaintaining medical records, including entering
information into our electronic health record, TechCareObserving
patient health and mental health statusProviding emergency first
aidProviding patient education and discharge/release

/ Licenses / Certifications / RequirementsGraduate from a Licensed
Practical Nursing programHigh school diploma or equivalent
(GED)Actively state-certified as a Licensed Vocational Nurse or
Licensed Practical NursePossess an active CPR certificationMust
pass the facilitys criminal background check and drug
screeningExperience / SkillsAble to maintain confidentiality of all
proprietary and/or confidential informationDisplay integrity,
professionalism and be able to adhere to a Code of Conduct and
comply with all facility(s) correctional healthcare policies,
procedures, and legal requirementsPhysical Capabilities:Must have
the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up
to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant
distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all
while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.Why
