Job Title: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Post Anesthesia Care Unit Nurse Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 hour days 1 call night/week 1 weekend call day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 2 years of relevant nursing experience required License: Unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Must-Have: - Associate degree in Nursing (ADN) - 2 years of relevant nursing experience in PACU, ICU, ED, step-down, or similar areas - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification - Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification - Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification Description: Minimum qualifications include an Associate degree in Nursing (ADN). Candidates must hold an unrestricted license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Colorado or be able to obtain it prior to starting. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required and may be obtained upon hire. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications are also required. A minimum of 2 years of relevant nursing experience is required, including experience in PACU, ICU, Emergency Department, step-down, or similar areas. A Bachelor's degree (BSN) or Master's degree (MSN) in Nursing is preferred. Experience with electronic health record systems is preferred. Bilingual candidates, particularly in Spanish, are preferred. Travelers are responsible for securing their own housing, which can be expensive. It is important to consider housing options in nearby towns, as accommodation costs can be high. Travelers looking for housing options with significantly lower budgets should exercise caution. While guaranteed hours cannot be officially promised, travelers will be scheduled for approximately 36-40 hours per week. The organization does not downstaff, essentially ensuring hours for travelers. Candidates must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment.
