Pay: $63 per hour Shift Information: Days Start Date: 2/16/2026 About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with United Health Care Staffing, Inc. to find a qualified Hospice RN in moab, Utah, 84532! Hospice RN – UHC Staffing Hospice RN Location: Moab, UT Start Date: 02-16-2026 End Date: 05-18-2026 Contract Type: Travel Contract Shift Type: Day shifts (specific start/end times not provided); On-call rotation 1-3 shifts per week (includes 3 weekends during the 13-week contract); must be able to respond within 45 minutes when on-call; holiday availability required. Roles & Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate individualized hospice care plans Provide expert pain and symptom management consistent with each patient’s plan of care Educate and support patients and families on disease progression, comfort measures, and hospice philosophy Collaborate closely with physicians, social workers, chaplains, volunteers and the interdisciplinary team Participate in the on-call rotation and respond promptly to patient needs when assigned Maintain accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with state, federal, and organizational policies Deliver compassionate, dignified care in patients’ homes and serve as a trusted clinical resource for families Qualifications Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Utah or a compact state Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience (hospice, home health or palliative care experience preferred) Current BLS certification required Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required for home visits Able to respond within 45 minutes when on call Willingness to work holidays and participate in weekend coverage as scheduled Strong clinical assessment, communication, interpersonal and organizational skills Compassionate demeanor and ability to support patients and families through end-of-life care Education Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Utah or compact state Current BLS certification Knowledge & Skills Patient assessment and care plan coordination Pain and symptom management in hospice settings Clinical documentation and use of hospice EMRs (Hospicesoft, Careficient preferred) Interdisciplinary collaboration with physicians, social workers, chaplains and volunteers Patient and family education on end-of-life care and self-care techniques On-call triage and rapid response skills for home-based hospice patients Benefits Travel reimbursement for mileage to support your travel between patient visits A supportive interdisciplinary team that values YOU and your compassionate care Opportunity to practice meaningful end-of-life care in patients' homes Professional growth working with experienced hospice clinicians Licensure support and reimbursement for required credentials Pre-employment support including a clear onboarding process (drug test and background check required) Work-life balance with a defined 13-week contract — explore the area between shifts An inclusive workplace committed to diversity and equal opportunity Travel Perks: Explore Moab, UT Explore Moab’s spectacular red rock playground: visit Arches and Canyonlands National Parks, hike and rock-climb the nearby canyons, mountain bike world-class trails, take a river trip on the Colorado, or enjoy local restaurants, microbreweries and art galleries.
