SENIOR IT SPECIALIST$100k-140k, plus benefitsHospitality company
based in Aspen, Colorado seeking full time experienced Senior IT
Specialist to manage all of its technology and computer systems.
Duties include managing internal servers, PC's, printers, and
mobile devices; maintenance of wired and wireless networks, VPNs,
backup systems, and security cameras; research and implementation
of solutions for IT requirements; oversight of outsourced vendor;
and a wide variety of in-home technology covering home automation,
lighting, audio visual equipment, and security systems.
Candidate must have the following qualifications and demonstrated
experience with the following areas:-- BS degree in science or
engineering.-- Networking, Microsoft domain servers, distributed
file system replication and home automation.-- Building and
implementing firewall rules, packet capture and analysis,
cryptographic protocols (including IPSec, HTTPS, hashing and PKI).
Next Gen firewall experience a major plus. -- Routing and switching
(specifically OSPF, subnetting and Wireless LAN optimization).--
Windows Server administration (DHCP/DNS, DFS, AD, RDP, Volume
Shadow Copies).-- Email, contacts, and calendar integration in a MS
Exchange environment. -- Tools and methods of network and process
documentation.-- Verbal and written communication of complex
concepts to a non-technical audience.-- Purchasing and life cycle
management of end user and infrastructure equipment. -- Mobile
device management and mobile VPNs, including two factor
authentication. -- Experience in implementing best practices for
defense against and recovery from malware, including application
whitelisting, email SPAM and virus protection, and traditional
Other desired qualifications:-- Experience with Savant, Vantage or
other home automation platforms a major plus. -- Project Management
including scoping, detailing deliverables, communicating with
stakeholders, budgeting and change management. -- Thorough
understanding of traditional telephony and VOIP technologies. --
Cellular repeaters, WiMAX, and satellite internet.-- Graduate
degree in a related field. -- Desired certifications: Security+ or
CCNA along with MCSA/MCSE.
Environment is primarily Windows based PC's and servers, coupled
with Apple mobile devices for approx. 15 users. Organization is
heavily dependent upon tight integration of email, calendars and
contacts. Extensive experience with these elements is critical.
Successful candidates will be highly adaptable and able to
demonstrate past examples of creative applications of technology to
