Job Description:
Mechanical Designer
Water Remediation Tech LLC is currently seeking an experienced
Mechanical Designer to join our team in Denver, CO (80234).
Job Summary:
The Mechanical Designer is responsible for completing water
treatment layout designs and fabrication drawings for all
WRT/Loprest projects. The Mechanical Designer will take direction
from Project Management, Sales, and Engineering to fully release
project equipment to customer for approval. Able to complete custom
part drawings for procurement. Able to generate bills of materials
for the Project Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other
duties may be assigned by management.
Adaptable and effectively respond to frequent changes, delays, or
unexpected events
Comfortable working in 3D for drawings, parts, and assemblies
Contribute to building a positive, collaborative environment
Familiarity with Microsoft Office suite
SolidWorks modeling experience in frame weldment and pipe
routing
PhotoWorks rendering experience to generate rendered equipment for
marketing
SolidsWorks PDM (vaulting) exposure
Understanding basics of GD&T
Piping layout experience
Education and Experience:
Minimum 1 year of work experience for Level 1 and minimum 5 years
of work experience for Level 2.
High school or GED is required.
Technical drafting certificate for Mechanical Drafting is
preferred.
Work experience with SolidWorks Pipe Routing preferred.
Work in a parametric vault environment preferred.
Must be proficient in AutoCAD P&ID 2D CAD with a minimum of 1
years of continuous AutoCAD 2D work experience.
Must be able to Update P&ID AutoCAD libraries.
Minimum of 1 years' experience in pressure vessel designs
preferred.
Minimum 2 years' experience working with pipe layout designs
preferred.
Understanding of water filter internal distribution best designs
preferred.
Understand at a high level (5 years minimum) water flow dynamics
and understanding of flow meter, instrumentation, pumps, and
valves.
Employee must pass a company prescribed physical, background check
and drug test.
Skills and Abilities:
PhotoWorks rendering experience capable of generating rendered WRT
equipment in SolidWorks for marketing use preferred.
Understand basics of GD&T.
Able to travel on service trips and troubleshoot water treatment
equipment.
Able to travel on inspection trips and inspect pressure vessels and
piping spools for Quality and drawing correctness.
Able to work in front of a computer workstation for multiple hours
generating drawings and performing basic modeling changes
