Job Description:

The Architectural Designer Level 2 role will require a professional degree in Architecture, plus at least 2+ years of related experience. Responsible for specific technical design aspects of an assigned major project, including investigation, evaluation and recommendation of design solutions that best meets the client's needs. Provides professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects. Independently applies advanced architectural concepts and designs. Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved techniques and procedures. May provide technical guidance to less experienced architects. Qualifications: Outstanding verbal, written and graphic communication skills. Strong design sensibility. Perceptive, adaptable, and responsive to the evolving needs of the studio to ensure that projects are running efficiently and meeting schedules and deadlines. 2-5+ years of experience in the field of architecture. Currently working towards or pursuing architectural licensure. Ability to work on one or more projects simultaneously. Values a sense of humor. Architectural Tasks: Assists in project design with Principal and Project Manager direction. Thoughtfully organizes daily project tasks. Works in alignment with the team project schedule/s. Selects and specifies architectural materials. Skilled at drafting and construction documentation. Responsible and accountable for the drawing set under the direction of the PA, PM or Principal. Builds physical models. Generates computer models and renderings. Assists with quality control on projects. Develops the formatting of client/project presentations. Conducts code, zoning, site analysis and permitting research. Marketing Tasks: Updating website periodically. Create and submit design awards and publication materials. Develops documents for publication and communication with editors. Software: Fluent in Revit and AutoCAD. Proficient in Lumion, Rhino, Sketch-up or comparable rendering software. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop / In-Design / Acrobat.
