Aspen Community Programs (ACP)
The Aspen Community Programs hosts dozens of public programs
year-round for residents and visitors alike, including the Hurst
Student Seminars; Great Books; Great Decisions; Sharing
Shakespeare; Teen Socrates; the McCloskey Speaker Series; the Hurst
Lecture Series; the Murdock Mind, Body, Spirit Series; and
Community Forum. These programs offer unique and affordable
opportunities for a diverse mix of people to find inspiration in a
variety of ways. The Aspen Community Programs (ACP) are the public
events that serve as the entry point for many of the Institute
constituents, and provides a public platform for the Institute to
feature its work and carry out its mission.
Basic Function:
The Program Coordinator provides support to the Aspen Community
Programs department and is an important member of the team. The
Program Coordinator will handle all aspects of registration and
administrative tasks for the department, will provide marketing and
communications support, and event logistics and on-site event
assistance.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Community Donor Outreach: Handles all aspects of donor mailings
including pulling lists and reports and is responsible for
maintaining constituent lists in database.
Event Registration:
Event execution and logistical support: Event set up, assists with
logistics for all ACP events. Works as key member of team at all
ACP events, creates name badges and tent cards for the events, and
assists other departments with staffing needs as available.
Department Risk and Security Administrator: Supports the department
by completing security and risk management documentation for
events.
Office Support:
Marketing and Communications Support: Drafts programs, ads, emails,
flyers and other marketing correspondence, maintains library of
photos, and shares them for marketing. Adds events to online
calendars, posts to social media, and AI website.
Other responsibilities as assigned.
