Check out this video and learn more and discover the "Power of We."As a MRI Technologist at Intermountain Health, you will play a vital role in supporting our clinical team, ensuring our patients receive the best care by:Operate a magnetic resonance scanner to obtain images used by physicians in the diagnosis and treatments of pathologies.Possess thorough knowledge and understanding of the principals and physics of magnetic resonance imaging.Select appropriate imaging techniques and protocols to complete the exam.Receive patients, explain method of examination, and position patient, perform IV puncture, and administer IV contrast agent when indicated.Independently perform and complete routine examinations.Meet the needs of the patient, family and multi-disciplinary team through effective communication, coordination and documentation ensuring safety, care, courtesy and efficiency.Actively participate in quality initiatives to ensure the highest level of patient satisfaction, highest level of patient care and workflow efficiencies.Minimum Qualifications MRI Tech IAssociate degree or equivalent from two-year College or Technical School; or one year minimum related experience and/or training, requiredCurrent ARRT (R) (MR) or NMTCB registry, requiredCurrent BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association, requiredAbility to interact with people of all ages, requiredPreferred Qualifications MRI Tech IAt least one (1) year of experience as a MRI Technologist, preferredMinimum Qualifications MRI Tech IIAmerican Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)(MR) or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists (ARMRIT)Basic Life Support certification (BLS) for healthcare providersIV CertificationDemonstrate proficiency in three of the following MRI procedures: intra-operative, cardiac, functional, breast, prostate, rectal cancer staging, advanced 3D spectroscopy, MR lymphangiography, or pediatric MRI (less than 15 years of age) as 80% of patient workload.Must complete at least five cases per specialty procedure with documented skills pass off by a lead MRI technologist or coordinator.Preferred Qualifications MRI Tech IIThree years of experience in Magnetic Resonance ImagingBachelor's degree from an accredited institutionPhysical Requirements:No Additional Description AvailableLocation:St. Marys Regional HospitalWork City:Grand JunctionWork State:ColoradoScheduled Weekly Hours:20The hourly range for this position is listed below.
