more.Job Overview:We are currently assembling a new team of
Informatics Analysts (multiple openings) to support the hospital
through the planning, implementation, go-live and future support of
a new Electronic Medical Record system. Some remote work
opportunities may be available. For candidates looking to relocate
to the area, relocation assistance may be available.The Informatics
Analyst develops and helps to maintain the electronic health
system, software applications and databases for Aspen Valley
Hospital. Develops an understanding of the application
functionality, reporting capabilities, interfacing and integration
associated with the applications assigned. Primary Scope of
Responsibilities:
- Implements approved applications, tools, and processes that
assist AVH with the management of data in patient care and the
provision of health care.
- Maintains changes to referential data, across clinical
applications assigned.
- Assists with application maintenance including the development
of alerts/hard stops, data integration, order generation,
automation of document entry and enforcement of adherence to
workflows.
- Provides technical support, diagnosis of application errors and
troubleshooting with system issues.
- Interprets, modifies, analyzes and designs clinical systems,
data and information.
- Designs and distributes timely education, supporting end-user
training and enhanced utilization of technology.
- Facilitates clinical content team - works with physicians,
nurses, pharmacists, and other healthcare professional to evaluate
current technology functionality and develops future applications
by building consensus and using efficient decision-making
processes.
- Recommends innovative ideas, processes, and/or procedures for
enhancements, additions, and modifications to improve existing
systems.
- Researches patient data across multiple applications to resolve
discrepancies and/or improve workflow.
- Serves as a resource person for daily operational issues with
technology systems.
- Works with other members of the team and AVH to implement
solutions to system-related problems to minimize operational
impact.
- Manages and leads the development, implementation and ongoing
maintenance of regulatory requirements within systems.
- Prioritizes work responsibilities and meets established
deadlines with little to no assistance.
- Disseminates pertinent and ongoing information to users using
systematic tools and methods. Ensures all documentation is
up-to-date.
- Required to understand and adhere to AVH IT standards, policies
and procedures. Must maintain a strong understanding of IT security
best practices.
- Other duties as assigned by the IT Applications Director or
CIO.Minimum Qualifications:
- Informatics Analyst I
- Basic knowledge of hospital operations, as well as general
principles of technology usage.
- Analytics ability to identify problems, collect data, establish
facts and solve problems related to healthcare technology. Ability
to determine appropriate course of action in more complex
situations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated
customer service excellence.
- Tolerance working in a fast-paced work environment. This
position requires quick thinking and problem-solving skills. Strong
organizational skills.
- Must be able to work with an open mind as a team member with
other departments to come up with the best possible solutions for
AVH to system-wide problems.
- Detail oriented and capable of exploring innovative solutions
to solve complex problems and address issues with a combination of
tools.
- Ability to work independently, exercise creativity, and
maintain a positive attitude.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of all information.
- Ability to handle difficult situations involving patients,
physicians, or others in a professional manner.
- May have to travel to other facilities or campuses as a part of
role.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office productivity tools.
- Informatics Analyst II and III
- All qualifications of Informatics Analyst I and:
- Strong working knowledge of hospital operations with
understanding of how technology is leveraged.
- Working knowledge of current/evolving care delivery models and
challenges. Works in close partnership with AVH users to ensure
multidisciplinary leadership of IT projects and maintenance of IT
systems.
- Ability to proactively research and solve problems. Can analyze
processes both current and future state.
- Leadership experience in mentoring others in a fast-paced
environment.
- Strong knowledge of system testing methodologies for upgrades,
modifications, priority packs, and
implementations.Education/Certification Requirements:
- Informatics Analyst I
- Epic certification for assigned applications required, or
ability to achieve within 6 months of hiring.
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Informatics Analyst II
- 2 years of healthcare experience required.
- Epic certification for assigned applications required, or
ability to achieve within 6 months of hiring.
- Bachelor's degree required.
- For clinical application support: Clinical Specialty Degree or
Licensure required.
- Informatics Analyst III
- More than 5 years of healthcare experience.
- Epic certification for assigned applications required, or
ability to achieve within 6 months of hiring.
- Advanced Degree (Master of Healthcare Administration or
Information Technology) or Clinical Specialty Degree with
appropriate licensure required.
- Certification in Nursing Informatics preferred.Benefits &
Compensation: Hire-in rates of pay are based upon the relevance of
years of experience, education and certifications. Our talent
